It seems like anytime we lose an animal, we gain one, whether we’re prepared or not. That being said, meet Scotch, the new dog at the farm.
Scotch is a skinny puppy boy who just showed up. After Gypsy and Thelma giving him no end of grief, they finally let him approach the house, and he decided he liked it. And the people who live and visit there.
His name is short for “butterscotch”, for his color. But this dog JUMPS. I call him Hopscotch. Here’s a picture where he literally jumped right at the camera…
…and prompty grabbed hold of me and then proceeded to deprive Gypsy (peeking out right under Scotch’s chin) of her favorite pastime, which is, ironically, jumping on me.
Good thing I wasn’t carrying the baby when I took these pictures! Look at those doggy claws! But Scotch is a happy dog, a people pleaser, and just the friendliest thing on four legs. Welcome to the family, pup.
Cute dog.
Time to get that horse dewormer out.

Oh. I thought his name was Scotch, because…well, you know…
