Okay, Doctor Who fans, here’s somethin’ you don’t see every day.
The new TARDIS playset is pretty huge if you ask me.
Here it is, sans kittens.
But how often do you see two TARDISes? Othello doesn’t see that too often.
These are both of the TARDIS playsets that have been made – one for the 1988 figures (which were about the size of Star Wars figures) and one for the current range.
The 1988 set came with these figures, and a big base for the console; the police box could be turned inside-out into the interior walls of the TARDIS.
There’s a little hole you can stick your finger into…
…to try the console lights and sounds out for yourself. (It’s all glowy! It’s cool!)
I’ll have full write-ups in 2007 on both of these, and I’ve already shot video of the 1988 playset in action. (That console is working and battery-powered, but good lord is it noisy.)

Pardon me,but isn’t it _supposed_ to be
noisy?
Let me put it this way: it’s making a whole different kind of strange wheezing and groaning sound than Terrance Dicks was talking about in his Doctor Who TV novelizations. 😆 This is more like…a vacuum cleaner!
