The Paragon of Animals

Babylon 5The Alliance makes a show of force – the force of arms, as it defends an isolated world from raiders; the force of mind, as Sheridan and Garibaldi debate the role of telepaths; and the force of ideals, as G’Kar attempts to draft a declaration of principles that will satisfy all the member races. The Alliance turns once again to Lyta for assistance, but Byron declares that the days of mundanes using telepaths as tools are over. And without his help, the Alliance may not survive betrayal by one of its own.

Secrets Of The Soul

Babylon 5Telepaths continue to pour into Babylon 5, concerning Zack since Lochley’s previous tactic to delay Bester barely worked. In the meantime, as part of his new project to create a comprehensive medical catalog of all of the Alliance’s member races, Franklin asks the Hyach ambassador for data on her species, only to discover that the Hyach historical records only go back eight centuries. One of Byron’s telepaths is attacked in DownBelow, and then Byron’s worst nightmare comes true – his followers disobey him and respond to the attack with violence. As Franklin stumbles onto evidence of an alien holocaust centuries ago, Byron can only watch as another one takes shape.

Day of the Dead

Babylon 5As famous comedians Rebo and Zooty bring their unique brand of humor to Babylon 5, Captain Lochley negotiates a deal with the Brakiri ambassador to sell part of the station to them for one night as part of the Brakiri Day of the Dead celebration. Under the agreement, part of Babylon 5 will officially become part of the Brakiri homeworld for the duration of their holiday, and Lochley assumes that this is a ceremonial relocation that will take place only on paper. This assumption turns out to be wrong in every important respect when anyone remaining inside the new Brakiri borders on the station finds that they are suddenly light years away from the rest of Babylon 5.

The Ragged Edge

Babylon 5During yet another border raid, a human ship is destroyed by the mysterious attackers who are causing the Alliance to crumble, but this time a lone survivor escapes, making his way to the Drazi homeworld, and Sheridan is eager to contact this witness. But the survivor in this case was smuggling illegal goods from Earth to the Drazi, and any discussions with him will have to be conducted very quietly. Sheridan wants to send Garibaldi and Franklin, but Garibaldi insists on going solo. Upon his arrival, he gets into a great deal of trouble, largely of his own making, but comes back with evidence that seems to point to an important member of the Alliance as the perpetrators of the attacks. Londo’s return is met with imprisonment.
