Lost In SpaceAs John and Maureen try to track down the origins of the weapon used by Angela to try to destroy the robot, Dr. Smith begins suggesting candidates for who might have handed Angela a gun, sowing distrust of the other colonists before turning her attention to reassembling the robot. The Chariots returning from Don West’s crashed ship with fuel are forced to cross a field of active geysers, but a particularly intense eruption knocks the fuel tanker over, trapping a young colonist who was clinging to the outside of the Chariot after conducting a repair while in motion. Judy Robinson wants the tank moved so the injured man can be pulled to safety, but colony leader Victor Dhar notices a leak in the tanker – one that will cause most of the fuel to be lost if the tanker is pulled off of its victim. Don West decides to move the tanker, against Victor’s wishes, but even under Judy’s care, the injured man dies anyway – and much of the fuel is lost. The same seismic activity powering the geysers traps a Chariot – with John and Maureen Robinson inside – in a tar pit, and as the tar rises above the upper hatch, their time and oxygen are running out.
