One man in the Centauri Republic is risking his career and even his life by secretly fighting for Narn’s freedom from Centauri oppression. And it’s ironic that he now faces an arranged marriage to a Centauri woman whose father headed an ethnic “cleansing” program on Narn after the war. But nobody expects the revelation that this man’s name is Vir Cotto. And in the meantime, Ivanova’s dreams are exposing her subconscious concerns about the secession from Earth (among other things).
