Season 1 Wizards vs. Aliens

Grazlax Attacks – Part 1

Wizards vs. AliensStill hiding on the far side of the moon in their massive warship, the Zarantulus, the Nekross have a problem: their king demands a fresh infusion of the magical energy from wizards, but at least a few of Earth’s wizards are now aware of the Nekross’ existence and are fighting back. Tom, Ursula and Randal Moon cast a shrouding spell to conceal Earth’s magic from the Nekross. Tom breathes a sigh of relief: he can go back to being a normal teenager, starting with teaming up with Benny on schoolwork (a bit less stressful than teaming up to fight an alien invasion). The response from the aliens is to send another alien species to do their dirty work. The vicious, seemingly unstoppable Grazlax homes in on Tom, and follows him straight to Benny’s house.

Rebels Season 3 Star Wars

Imperial Supercommandos

Star Wars: RebelsPassage through Mandalorian space near the planetary remnant Concord Dawn has once again become hostile to Rebel traffic, and Sabine pays a visit to Fenn Rau, the Mandalorian leader she captured there. Rau has no idea what has changed, but offers to return with Sabine to find out; of course, he’s also planning to escape while he’s there. But even Fenn Rau finds no welcoming party at Concord Dawn: the Mandalorians there have thrown their lot in with the Empire, taking up arms as Imperial Supercommandos. Anyone who doesn’t join them in bowing to the Empire – even fellow Mandalorians – is marked for capture or death.

Discovery Season 1 Star Trek

Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum

Star Trek: DiscoveryStardate 1308.9: Having deposited a landing party consisting of Saru, Burnham, and Tyler to the planet Pahvo, the Discovery diverts to answer a distress call from U.S.S. Gagarin, under Klingon attack. Lorca’s previous strategy – to drop in out of a spore drive jump and blast every enemy in sight – is no longer a guarantee of success: as more Klingon houses rally to Kol’s side, their ships are armed with cloaking devices. Discovery‘s overwhelming advantage has been negated, and the Gagarin and her crew pay the price for this revelation.

On Pahvo, a planet whose ecosphere audibly sings in a variety of frequencies, boosted into space by a crystalline transmitter that may or may not be of natural origin, Saru’s landing party is there to see if that transmitter can be altered in such a way as to help the Federation’s war effort. But what couldn’t be seen from space is quite visible on the ground: the planet is inhabited by energy beings who are curious about their unexpected visitors. They offer peace to Saru – a peace that he’ll willingly betray anyone to keep.

Star Trek: DiscoveryNotes: The title of the episode translates from Latin to English as “if you want peace, prepare for war”, originating in a 5th century written work, “De Re Militari” (“Concerning Military Matters”). This is not the first Star Trek episode to use a Latin phrase as its title; that honor goes to Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges (1999), an episode of Deep Space Nine‘s seventh and final season.
