Blake's 7 Season 1

Breakdown

Blake's 7On the flight deck of the Liberator, Gan suddenly attacks Jenna, and, after nearly killing the entire rest of the crew, it is discovered in a medical scan that Gan’s limiter is malfunctioning and sending vicious, murderous impulses to his mind. If Gan doesn’t receive treatment in 72 hours, he could die, so Blake has Zen list all the locations where he could receive proper medical attention. Avon points out space station XK-72, a neutral scientific research station that Liberator would have to cross what Zen calls a “forbidden area of space” to reach. Avon overrides Zen and Jenna pilots the ship through that area, finding a black hole-like gravity vortex that the Liberator almost doesn’t survive. Once at XK-72, Gan is treated by Dr. Kayn – but not before Kayn alerts the Federation to Blake’s presence.

Season 01 SG-1 Stargate

Within The Serpent’s Grasp

Stargate SG-1In the wake of Senator Kinsey’s visit, General Hammond is preparing to shut down the stargate facility. O’Neill is worried that this could leave Earth open to a devastating attack, even though he still isn’t completely sold on Daniel’s story of a Goa’uld attack witnessed in an alternate reality. But despite his misgivings about the specifics of Daniel’s story, O’Neill is unwilling to stand by helplessly. SG-1 embarks on an unauthorized mission, disobeying the orders of both General Hammond and the President. They find themselves not just behind enemy lines, but aboard the gigantic Goa’uld starship which is already underway to launch an attack on Earth. Apophis has sent his own son – actually Daniel and O’Neill’s young friend Skaara, inhabited by a symbiont – to lead the attack, but when Teal’c and O’Neill try to get Skaara to rebel against the creature controlling his mind, SG-1 is quickly exposed. O’Neill and Teal’c are both sentenced to death, and even if they do escape, the Goa’uld ships are mere hours away from a defenseless Earth.

Battlestar Galactica (New Series) Season 4

Islanded In A Stream Of Stars

Battlestar GalacticaAdmiral Adama quietly authorizes a one-off recon mission to search for a Cylon colony – the last great Cylon stronghold – where Ellen believes Hera has been taken. As the only surviving child of a Cylon, and the only true Cylon-human hybrid, she is the key to both races’ survival. With Boomer’s explosive exit and the repairs proceeding anything but smoothly, Galactica is falling apart, with power outages and other random failures taking their toll. The Quorum is already busying itself dividing up Galactica’s remaining viable equipment, over Lee’s objections that no such dismantling has been authorized. Starbuck goes to Baltar, asking him to trade his messianic fervor for his old life as a scientist: she wants him to analyze the dried blood on the dog tags she found on the body of the long-dead Viper pilot on Earth. What she doesn’t expect is for Baltar to announce his findings at the funeral for those lost in the recent repair accident: the tags were indeed Starbuck’s, and they were removed from the dead body of Starbuck…and is the woman who walks among the crew of Galactica still Starbuck? As the ship herself continues to fall apart at the seams, Admiral Adama decides that the time has indeed come to dismantle Galactica to ensure the survival of the rest of the fleet.
