Season 1 Space: 1999

The Last Enemy

Space: 1999The moon approaches a star with two life-supporting planets in identical and opposing orbits, neither world ever seeing the other directly. Unexpectedly, a battleship from one of those planets approaches the moon, and Koenig puts Moonbase Alpha on red alert, assuming that the massive vessel’s intent is hostile. But it seems the aliens already have the upper hand – none of the battle-ready Eagles can lift off from the moon. The main computer also shows signs of being influenced from an outside force, and then Alpha’s defense screens and communications fail. Moonbase Alpha is powerless to prevent the battleship from landing and launching missiles – but the base isn’t the target. The aliens are using the moon to launch a vicious attack on the other planet, a target their missiles would normally never reach thanks to the star’s gravity. A counterstrike targets the moon – and before a signal can be sent to either of the warring planets, Moonbase Alpha is a target for both sides in a bitter, centuries-old war to the death.

Buck Rogers Season 2

The Golden Man

Buck Rogers In The 25th CenturyThe Searcher encounters a lone life pod in the unlikeliest of places – tumbling helplessly through an asteroid field. The ship’s tractor beam catches the pod before it can collide with something, but the life expectancy of the golden-skinned child within the pod doesn’t grow appreciably when the Searcher itself collides with an asteroid. The ship survives remarkably intact, but it can’t escape the asteroid. The boy insists that he has a companion, trapped on a nearby planet, whose telekinetic powers could easily free the Searcher from its predicament, so Buck and the boy go to search for him. When they track him down, however, they find that he has been enslaved in a village whose superstitious leaders are forcing him to use his abilities to turn ordinary objects into crystal or precious metals. The villagers spot the similar boy with Buck and capture them as well, forcing Hawk to mount a one-man rescue mission.

KTMA Season Mystery Science Theater 3000

Experiment K13: SST – Death Flight

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The KTMA SeasonMST3K Story: Before the credits, Joel and the Bots sing the “SST Death Flight Theme Song.” Dr. Forrester has returned from Vegas with sacks and sacks of money that he won playing Keno. He has a few gifts for Dr. Erhardt and a really bad movie for Joel that Bert Convy gave him in a parking lot. At the first break, Joel tries to give Servo some idea what pain feels like. Servo laughs off the “stub your toe” and “fiery Yugo crash” settings, but really feels it at the “Arsenio” setting. Gypsy’s voice suddenly becomes soft and sultry. She sings “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” for Joel, but he doesn’t understand why she sounds so different. Servo finally admits he was throwing his voice. Later, Servo sings “The Banana Boat Song” while the rest of the crew dances the Limbo. After the movie, Joel and the Bots answer their first viewer mail and invite people to keep writing in.

SST – Death Flight Story: The Maiden flight of a new Super Sonic Transport brings together a myriad of different people. They include out-of-work sportscaster Lyle Kingman and his wife, promotions director Tim Vernon and his girlfriend Angela, the plane’s designer Willy Basset, potential buyer Hank Fairbanks, and Dr. Ralph Therman who is bringing a sample of a deadly form of influenza to Paris. The ship is piloted by Captain Jim Walsh, whose by-the-book attitude led to Fairbanks losing his pilot’s license. Further complicating things for Fairbanks, the head Stewardess is his ex-girlfriend, Mae. Meanwhile, disgruntled mechanic Les Phillips has sabotaged the hydraulics system in order to force the flight to turn back. Walsh refuses to believe that the plane is in danger until Phillips admits to the sabotage, but by then it is too late: the plane could crash at any moment. An attempt to re-route the pressure goes wrong and a massive explosion rocks the plane. To make matters worse, the influenza sample is released by the explosion and the passengers begin to show symptoms of the disease. When this is learned on the ground, Paris refuses to allow the plane to land. Diplomacy is brought to bear to allow them to land in London, but the passengers decide to go with an alternate plan of landing in Senegal, the only place in reach where proper quarantine facilities exist. Unfortunately, they don’t have enough fuel and they go down in the jungle. Although several passengers die, most are rescued and the spread of the virus is stopped.

Season 02 SG-1 Stargate

One False Step

Stargate SG-1SG-1 follows a brief visit to a habitable but seemingly undeveloped planet with an unmanned air reconnaissance vehicle, which surveys an area around ten miles beyond the gate before crashing into an unusual form of plant life. Shortly before the transmitter on the remote-controlled probe stops sending, however, Carter and O’Neill watch as an inquisitive, unclothed, but undeniably humanoid male examines the new arrival. SG-1 returns to the planet, finding its people harmless and incapable of communicating verbally. But after O’Neill and his team have spent some time with them, the natives begin falling seriously ill. As much as no one wants to admit it, Dr. Fraiser says that the inevitable may have finally happened – SG-1 may have set the extinction of an entire race in motion simply by setting foot on their world. But that doesn’t explain why O’Neill, Daniel and Teal’c are the next ones to show signs of the disease…

Nook

LexxThe arrival of a giant insect-like ship in their sky terrifies the population of the planet Nook. Their simple, monk-like existence is further disrupted by the landing of Stan, Kai and the first woman anyone on Nook has laid eyes on in generations – Xev. It turns out to be one of Lexx’s more peaceful planetary stops, as Xev and Kai get to know the natives, and Kai studies their culture – though he expresses surprise that none of the men of Nook have any recollection of having a mother. Indeed, the very knowledge of women is forbidden there – but the same doesn’t hold true for knowledge of sex. So when Xev introduces a markedly heterosexual lifestyle to the monks, she may have set the entire civilization of Nook on a path toward destruction.

Enterprise Season 02 Star Trek

Future Tense

Star Trek: EnterpriseThe Enterprise encounters a derelict ship of unknown design and origin – and its single occupant, though dead, reveals a number of surprises. Dr. Phlox determines that the pilot of the charred ship has human, Vulcan, Rigellian and Terellian DNA (among other species), apparently through natural breeding and not genetic engineering. Trip and Malcolm Reed scour the interior of the ship for clues, and discover a hatchway the leads to the lower decks of the capsule…even though it isn’t big enough to have those decks. They discover a data module in the dimensionally-impossible bowels of the ship, and moments later a Suliban ship appears, its commander demanding to take possession of the derelict from Archer. Archer refuses the request and bluffs his way out of the encounter, and the Suliban retreats to gather reinforcements. Not long afterward, another ship appears, its occupants identifying themselves as the Tholians. They too want the mysterious vessel, and they will let nothing stand in their way – not the Enterprise, not Archer, and not even an entire fleet of Suliban warships.
