The Seeds Of Death

Doctor WhoIn the 21st century, mankind has given up rocket-based travel in favor of the T-mat teleportation system – even to the extent of not maintaining any space vehicles in case they’re needed. This almost turns into a fatal mistake when a vital T-mat installation based on the moon loses contact with Earth, after a terrified final message from one of the moonbase crew mentioning a takeover. Even when the T-mat administrators find a barely spaceworthy rocket in the workshop of a sentimental space travel hobbyist, they need one more thing – someone who has the experience necessary to fly the rocket. The Doctor, with Jamie and Zoe in tow, arrives just in time to take on the hazardous mission, discovering that the moonbase is just the first step in another Ice Warrior attempt to colonize Earth by brute force.

Survival Of The Fittest

The Six Million Dollar ManOscar is unusually tense about a routine flight to Washington with Steve Austin in tow. Their car has a blowout on the way to the airport, and he has to wait for another flight, one carrying military passengers and cargo. Once the plane’s in the air, Steve learns that, due to Oscar’s participation in top-secret negotiations with Russia, he may have assassins on his tail. The plane encounters a severe storm and is damaged, forcing the pilots to ditch the plane at sea near an isolated island; Steve quickly organizes the survivors into a camp that can hold its own until rescue arrives. But it quickly becomes apparent that Oscar’s would-be assassins are on the island with them, which means they were aboard the plane all along…and help may not arrive in time.

Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy: Secondary PhaseArthur, Lintilla, Marvin, Lintilla and Lintilla are trapped, pinned down by Brontitall Foot Warriors, but they get an unexpected bit of help from a number of clones all named Allitnil, all of whom are quite taken with Lintilla. Meanwhile, Ford and Zaphod make their way into the still-viable derelict, discovering that the crew is in suspended animation – at least until they awaken. But they’re suddenly removed from Brontitall by Zarniwoop, the man about whom Zaphod left himself a message. Together with Arthur, they meet the man who’s supposedly running the universe. And when he reveals that it was, in fact, Zaphod who ordered the demolition of the Earth, no one expects Arthur Dent to do what he does next.

Star Trek: The Next GenerationStardate 46424.1: As the Enterprise is en route to witness the collision of two gaseous planets, Data and Geordi visit the London of Sherlock Holmes, noticing small program anomalies. Barclay checks the holodeck’s programming and unwittingly reactivates a program which had been created and put into storage four years before when Moriarty, in another Holmes program, evolved into Data’s ideal adversary. Moriarty demands to talk to Picard. Unknown to the crew, he has been alive and aware in the computer’s memory the whole time, and he defies the laws of physics by stepping out of the holodeck and roaming the Enterprise. Moriarty asks that a Countess with whom he fell in love in the course of another holodeck program be brought to life to accompany him, but Picard is reluctant, preferring instead to research just how Moriarty has achieved corporeal existence, and to determine whether or not the professor intends to continue his legendary criminal activities. As it turns out, Moriarty is indeed planning on attempting a swindle of an immense scale – but Picard means to see that Moriarty’s scheme is limited to the scale of the holodeck.

Star Trek: Deep Space NineStardate not given: The first ship from the Gamma Quadrant emerges through the wormhole and arrives at DS9. Its single occupant is convinced to dock at the station to allow the crew to repair his battle-damaged vessel. O’Brien tries to get acquainted with the alien, who identifies itself only as Tosk. As soon as no one is watching, however, Tosk begins trying to determine how to fight and hide on the station. Odo discovers Tosk tampering with a security junction and Tosk winds up in the brig. A second ship arrives from the wormhole. Sisko gives the new visitors every chance to make friendly contact, but they instead disrupt the station’s shields and beam into the Promenade without permission. Armed, they begin searching for Tosk and hold the crew at bay. It turns out that they are game hunters searching for Tosk, and advise the crew of DS9 to stay out of their way. O’Brien decides to take the rules of the hunt into his own hands to prevent Tosk from having to be bagged in captivity and disgrace.

A Race Through Dark Places

Babylon 5At Psi-Corps’ headquarters on Mars, Bester interrogates a telepath for information on an underground railroad helping unregistered telepaths evade the Corps’ rigorous supervision. Bester goes to B5, which he believes these telepaths are using as a way station. The underground railroad does turn out to be running through B5, and the telepaths try to kill Bester, who manages to take cover, though Talia is kidnapped. The rogue telepaths are more organized than anyone has realized, and they have a friend on the station – Dr. Franklin. Bester closes in on the telepaths’ hiding place DownBelow, and the telepaths can only escape alive if they can convince Talia to rebel against the Psi Corps.

Xena: Warrior PrincessAfter capturing a warlord named Zantar, Xena and Gabrielle, along with Joxer are taking him back to prison when an explosion tears a gapping hole in the temple of Aphrodite they are passing. They rush inside to find the goddess of love chastising a girl for getting into a powerful potion. The girl, Alesia, is the seven-year-old daughter of a king who is a friend of the bard and warrior. Alesia tells them that she ran away from home because she believes her stepmother hates her. Xena and Gabrielle try to reassure her that isn’t true, and the bard begins the tale of Tyrella. But the story undergoes a lot of changes when Aphrodite decides she’d like to keep Alesia around – and Zantar’s men are in pursuit.

LostFlashback: Liam’s drug habit continues to have personal and professional repercussions. Driveshaft’s attempts at a comeback never get into gear when he can’t even function during a television commercial shoot. His wife kicks him out of the house after he drops their baby daughter. Charlie watches and tries to hold things together, writing a song he hopes will turn their lives around. But Liam’s own plans to change his life may not include his brother.

The Island: Jack continues his planning sessions with Ana Lucia, raising Sawyer’s eyebrows in the process. The eyebrows do double time when Hurley asks him what he knows about Libby. Charlie has a series of vivid dreams about Aaron that lead him to believe the baby’s life is in serious danger. Given his past and his lack of truthfulness, Claire and the others are reluctant to believe him, especially when Charlie takes Aaron while sleepwalking one night. Eko suggests that the dreams, which include the image of a dove, may suggest that the baby needs to be baptized. Charlie begs Locke to help him persuade Claire to trust him, but when Locke finds Charlie’s stash of statues he has little reason to believe the addict. Desperate, Charlie tries to take matters into his own hands, shredding the last vestiges of anyone’s trust in him.

HyperdriveJunior bridge officer Vine obsesses over an online auction for a nearly-uninhabitable planet with almost no mineral value, no life forms, and no precious resources. The source of his obsession is not the planet itself, but the fact that Vine’s longtime auction rival is bidding on the same planet, and he sees an opportunity to out-snipe his old enemy. Soon, Vine is the new owner of a geologically unstable rock that costs him two years’ wages, and wants Jeffers to vacation on his new planet with him. Sandstrom, the genetically-modified navigator, is introduced to chocolate, causing her to become psychotic. Security officer York begins to suspect that all of these events are part of a concentrated effort to eliminate the ship’s senior officers. And he’s right, though he’s guessed completely wrong about who’s behind it and why.

Redemption

InvasionAfter his latest heated argument with Mariel about what information he’s holding back from her, Tom Underlay finds himself alone at home, but moments later he is shot by an intruder. Struggling to summon help, he experiences a flashback to the plane crash nine years ago that killed his first wife and led to his first encounter with the glowing aquatic beings…and his first fateful meeting with one Dr. Mariel Varon. Even when he’s taken to the hospital, Underlay is fading fast, his blood no longer compatible with that of any human, until he receives a transfusion from Mariel, whose blood isn’t even the same type as his – or at least it wasn’t when they were both fully human. Russell is confronted by Healy, the man who let him in on the secret of the failed alien incursions in the past, who tells him that Underlay may not be the problem – but whoever shot him most certainly is, and it may be someone competing to be the alpha male among the hybrids. But as sinister as Underlay’s agenda has seemed, can Russell bring himself to believe that there might be a worse alternative? Even if he does come around, Russell may not be able to stop Larkin from revealing the presence of alien life on her next news broadcast.
