Toeing the potty line

Well thenJust checked my e-mail for the first time in a few hours and saw this note from my web hosting service about yesterdays gobs and gobs of downtime at theLogBook:

We recommend you clear your browser cache and flush your DNS… but I also checked the server and found that the http service on it was restarted; that was most likely the cause of the temporary downtime.

I think that’s geekspeak for “It’s not you, it’s me, but you still need to flush more often.” 😆 Actually, if I’m being asked to wipe my browser cache, I think I’m being told to flush and wipe more often.

I don’t know how I managed to sleep through this particular event, but apparently in 2007 and then again in 2008, the Japanese Kaguya lunar orbiter filmed a pair of Earthrises and Earthsets in full 1080 HD. You can watch them online, squashed down to an unfortunate 480 x 270:
