Okay, not really 3-D. It was snowing again today for quite a while, somewhat putting an end to the question “Is it getting warm enough to melt this stuff off?” The answer is simply “No… no, it is not.”
Gabby has been feeling cooped up, so I let her spend some time outside, and heard a lot of barking. I opened the door to find Cody, the big brown derpy neighbor puppy, playing with Gabby in the snow. Cody’s dropped by before for extended periods of time, even though he lives in the next house up the road. I hope he can get home and get inside.
Bonus shot of Cody’s derpy-dog “I’m licking snow off my own derpy-dog nose!” face:
He’s a sweet pup. Here’s your basic obligatory gorgeous winter wonderland shot.
What you’re not seeing is that there’s a lot of ice under the snow. Such as this, all over my street.
At various points, the street – especially the uphill curve in front of my pasture – has been littered with cars that spun out or just didn’t have the power to beat the elements.
Not surprisingly, everything is covered with ice.
And here’s a monster 2+ foot icicle by my front door. It’s an icy weapon in the wrong hands.
In fact, it needs a cool name like… oh, I dunno… Deathsicle 5000!
Deathsicle 5000 is ready for its close-up.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s exciting episode, “Can anyone get the hell out of this place and go to work? And maybe to the store?”
