Last week, Little E decided that we needed to head to the grocery store, so I asked him to take some paper and make a list of things we needed to get. (This is a sneaky-daddy way of making him practice writing and spelling without it seeming like “schoolwork”.) The results were mostly legible, bearing in mind that the list was written on several pieces of unruled paper by a four-year-old. And for the most part, the list was surprisingly practical… mostly.
(hot dogs)
(banana – just the one?)
(strawberrs, a.k.a. strawberries)
(cheese crackers)
(“gume snaks” – Little E told me this was “gummy snakes”)
Little E asked if we could pick up a pizza, and I told him we might not have enough money to get groceries and pick up a pizza. So this was his very practical solution: buy some money and then buy some pizza with it!
Wait… which aisle is the money in?
