Little E vs. the hydrological cycle

During a dicussion on the drive home from day care, while I was trying to explain the relationship of rain to the clouds in the sky, Little E offered his own theory:

“The raindrops are up in their room, playing and watching cartoons, and then they all fall out of the cloud… AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! Splat.”
