We’ve got a bunch of kids in this house… both two-legged and four-legged.
Most people seem to tell me this is some sort of Army Rangers hat. I call it the “Daniel Jackson from season two of Stargate SG-1 hat.” Evan simply says: “Evan’s hat!” He’s even learned how one object can serve multiple purposes, such as providing something dangly for his buddy Obi to play with.
Above: RISE, MY MINIONS! WE WILL CONQUER THIS PUNY WORLD. Okay. House. This puny house. C’mon, rise and shine. I’m telling you, we can totally conquer it. Please? Guys? Doesn’t anyone want to help me conquer it just a little?
Right: Olivia marvels at the fact that Taxi has more or less snapped back to her original, pre-kitten shape. Kind of like a furry rubber band with claws.
All eight kittens are doing great – in fact, some already have their eyes open, which is running just a little bit ahead of the schedule for most kittens. But they were overdue, so it’s just possible that, developmentally, they’re ready to open their eyes and start looking around for trouble to get into and fun Obi cats and little boys to pounce on. We already have someone interested in one of the kittens; obviously we have to wait for the little weenies to be weaned first.
So who’s staying? Good question. I’m starting to get the impression that Taxi has been donated to us. She a wonderful cat, so I wouldn’t mind that. The army of kittens, though…that’s a whole different question. I wouldn’t mind keeping them either, but then I’m the male version of your local crazy cat lady. Still…even with that in mind…this is a lot of crazy cats.
Taxi does a great job cleaning the little guys up though. We haven’t had to even so much as assist in kitten cleaning. She keeps them all perfect and fluffy and adorable.
Be careful what you wish for, Obi. I think you’re going to have more playmates than you can keep up with very, very soon…
