We’re getting close to having a room ready. Which is a good thing because we’re starting to get some strong indicators that we’re geting ready to have a baby Pretty Soon. Here’s where he’s going to live – still a work in progress, but now at least it’s a liveable one.
As much as I’d like to be able to take credit for any of this, here’s how it breaks down: Evan’s grandmother painted the walls. Evan’s aunt paid some guys to come take out the carpet and put the flooring down. Now, they took their sweet damn time to do it, but at last it’s done.
I love these little shelves. One of Jan’s co-workers found them at a yard sale. The legs are great big pencils.
Daddy’s stuff is still crowding the closet; that’ll be emptied out in the next couple of days.
So far, Oberon is the only cat who has worked up the courage to step into this room. It looks, feels, and sounds very strange to the cats. I have a feeling Oberon will be spending lots of time in here with Evan as they both grow up. I’ll admit, this is strange to me too. The whole room has an almighty ECHO now. When Evan lets us know he’s hungry, we’ll definitely hear him.
