I'm just your typical compulsively-writing, sci-fi-and-science-obsessed, classic-video-game-playing, action-figure-collecting dad.
That's me in red with the smooth round head.
I edit Mission Log: A Roddenberry Star Trek Podcast and its sister shows Mission Log: Prodigy and Mission Log: The Orville for Roddenberry Podcasts. I was a frequent writer, editor, and voice on the daily Sci-Fi 5 podcast for Roddenberry, and I created and currently co-host Mission Log: Gene-ology. I handle video production on Mission Log Live, Mission Log: Prodigy and Mission Log: The Orville. I'm the technical director for the TrekTalks online telethon event benefiting Hollywood Food Coalition.
I also run theLogBook.com/theLogBook.media and host podcasts here, including Retrogram, Select Game and Don't Give This Tape To Earl. I've written several books (WARP!1, VWORP!1, VWORP!2, and "Fatherhood, Fandom And Fading Out), and produced the Phosphor Dot Fossils video game documentaries. On YouTube, I still occasionally produce and host the ongoing Phosphor Dot Fossils and Voyages Of Shelf Discovery series. I don’t know but I hear that Geordi LaForge is pissed off because someone stole some computer chips from main engineering of the Enterprise!
Y’know, you bring up something I’ve always wondered about. Ever noticed that after Geordi took over, none of the engineers from season 1 ever appeared again? In fact, it seemed like there was quite a high turnover of chief engineers in the first season. There was “Argyle,” the hefty, not-quite-Irish guy (gee, that’s original), “Leland T. Lynch” (whose habit of announcing his entire name when called caused Picard to visibly roll his eyes in front of the entire bridge crew, and was really No Help At All during Skin Of Evil), and at least one or two others. One wonders what led Geordi to leave the helm and take over engineering – did Picard beg and plead him to do it so there’d be someone without a can’t-do attitude downstairs? Did Geordi himself get tired of the season 1 engineers? What’s up with that?
By the way, they’re not isolinear chips. 😛
