Ladyhawke soundtrack remastered
La-La Land Record releases a remastered, expanded 2-CD edition of the soundtrack from Richard Donner’s 1984 film Ladyhawke, scored by Alan Parsons Project orchestral arranger Andrew Powell, and featuring most of Powell’s Project bandmates, including production by Parsons himself. Clocking in at over two hours, this edition of the soundtrack features more of the orchestral and choral pieces from the score than the prior CD release.

Soyuz TM-25
Russian cosmonauts Vasili Tsibliyev and Aleksandr Lazutkin lift off aboard Soyuz TM-25 for an eventful mission aboard Russian space station Mir. Tagging along is German space traveler Reinhold Ewald, who will remain in space for 19 days before returning to Earth with Mir’s previous crew aboard Soyuz TM-24; Tsibliyev and Lazutkin will later be joined by American shuttle astronaut Jerry Linenger. Their 184-day stay is marred by numerous emergencies aboard the station, ranging from a fire in the station’s cramped quarters to a collision with an unmanned Progress cargo spacecraft, which Russian ground controllers are initially eager to keep quiet from the rest of the world.

No love for Studio II
Just before Valentine’s Day, RCA kills its Studio II home video game console, whose blocky black & white graphics and library of “edutainment” cartridges have proven to be no competition for the more game-oriented, full-color consoles from Fairchild and Atari over the previous two Christmas shopping seasons. 120 employees directly involved with developing for or assembling the Studio II and related products are laid off from RCA’s facility in Swannanoa, North Carolina as a result. The company makes no further attempts to break into the video game business.
The Fantastic Journey: Atlantium
The second episode of the short-lived NBC series The Fantastic Journey premieres. Katie Saylor joins the cast as Liana, a character not included in the original series outline who helps the few holdovers from the pilot episode.
The Changes: A Pile Of Stones
The sixth episode of The Changes airs on BBC1, adapting the novels of Peter Dickinson into a ten-part television serial starring Vicky Williams and Keith Ashton. The series was filmed in 1973, but has been held for broadcast until 1975.
The Evil Touch: The Fans
